Tree Committee brings ordinance overhaul to council Oct 7

The Town's Tree Committee spent the summer meeting with the Ross Valley Fire Department, the Town Arborist, and Fairfax's legal team to hash out changes to the Tree Ordinance, and will bring its recommendations to the Town Council on October 7.

Recommendations floated so far include new requirements tied to nesting season and efforts to bring more clarity to the rules governing tree removal and protection, according to the town's announcement.

No text of the proposed ordinance changes or specific code language has been released yet; the October 7 council meeting will be the first public airing of the committee's work.
