August recess arrives early as Council cancels its second meeting in a row

The only piece of city business to surface this week was a notice that the regular City Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, August 6, was cancelled — the second consecutive regular meeting called off, following the cancellation of the July 16 meeting.

In place of those two sessions, the Council held a special meeting on July 23 at 5:00 pm. No new agenda, staff report, or public hearing was posted for the coming week, and no other board or commission published materials between August 3 and August 9.

That leaves Larkspur in the familiar late-summer lull: no land use hearings, no contested votes, no public comment. Anything pending — and there is always something pending — waits for the Council's next posted agenda.
