Council to hear update on 161-acre King Mountain donation
The King Mountain Open Space Association will present Oct. 7 on the purchase, donation and endowment of a 161-acre King Mountain estate property to the Marin County Open Space District, financed by the Shelby Collum Davis Charitable Fund.
The same session brings a briefing from the Marin County Office of Emergency Management on alerting and El Nino readiness, plus a council discussion of the city's winter storm and high tide preparations for 2026/27. Staff will also update council on the Ross Valley Sanitary District's cost dispute with Central Marin Sanitation Agency over treatment costs.
Council will also weigh Resolution 71/26, which would set new fees for the Library's Community Rooms, and hear a presentation on usage trends and plans to expand hours at the Library at Rose Lane.
No public hearings are on the agenda; the warrants, minutes and library fee resolution are expected to move as routine business.
