Creek Park Plaza design options move from advisory committee to Council, alongside a donor offer to fund construction drawings

The long-running Reimagine Creek Park project reached a pivot point this week. On Aug. 4, the citizen Community Advisory Committee got its first look at design alternatives for Creek Park Plaza and took public comment on them. A week later, the same set of options heads to the Town Council's special meeting on Aug. 11 — the point where elected officials, not just an advisory body, weigh in on what the plaza should look like.

Staff have been careful to frame that vote narrowly: the agenda notes Council's discussion and approval of design alternatives "is not a 'project' under CEQA" because it involves no activity with the potential to cause physical change to the environment.
