San Anselmo's Climate Panel Weighs an Electric Town Fleet
The Climate Action Commission used its August 31 meeting to dig into one of the Town's more concrete climate levers: electrifying San Anselmo's vehicle fleet, sitting down with the Department of Public Works to talk through what it would take to swap gas trucks and equipment for electric versions.
The session doubled as a status check on broader climate work. Commissioners heard an update on the Town's Climate Action Plan, a subcommittee report on the progress of climate-related funding projects, and a readout from Commissioner Lucy V. Matthews on a climate conference she attended in London.
The meeting opened on a quieter note, with the Commission bidding farewell to outgoing member Nuria Montalvo, and closed with a discussion of how often the Commission should be meeting going forward ", commission members plan to revisit.
