After Years of Work, San Anselmo's Draft 2045 General Plan Goes Public
The General Plan Advisory Committee meets September 10 to mark a milestone years in the making: the Public Draft 2045 General Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Report are being released for public review. The agenda calls for a presentation on the draft documents, a summary of comments already received, and the adoption process and schedule still ahead.
This is also, effectively, a farewell meeting for the committee itself. The agenda includes a session titled "Putting the General Plan to Work," walking through how Town staff will actually use the plan once adopted, what role boards and commissions will play in implementing it, and how annual work plans and priorities will be measured against it going forward.
The committee will close with recognition of its own members and a discussion of next steps as GPAC's work concludes — the panel that has spent years shepherding the update, including reviewing redlined amendments and a DEIB assessment memorandum earlier this year, is handing the plan off to the adoption process.
