Pool permit and bakery's beer-and-wine license head to Planning Commission Monday
At 50 Mariposa Avenue, the owner is seeking a grading permit (Project No. PRO2026-0039) for a swimming pool and associated site improvements. The project is categorically exempt from full CEQA review under the state's Class 3 exemption for small new structures, and no staff recommendation or public comment is on record yet ahead of the hearing.
Across town at 121 Tunstead Avenue, Maison Nico — the bakery, pastry production center and ice cream shop — is applying for a Conditional Use Permit to add off-premises sales of beer and wine (Project No. PRO2026-0037). The city has determined the request qualifies for a Class 1 CEQA exemption covering existing facilities, meaning no new environmental review is required.
Both items go before the Planning Commission as public hearings, giving neighbors and the applicants a chance to weigh in before commissioners act. No business items are scheduled after the hearings, and the Commission will then adjourn until October 19.
