Dog park panel plans granite surfacing, eyes weekend parking crunch

The Red Hill Dog Park Steering Committee used its September 30 meeting to line up practical fixes for the well-used park, topping the list a decomposed granite surfacing project planned for spring meant to address the park's muddy, uneven ground.

Members also dug into weekend parking impacts from park visitors, a recurring headache noted on the agenda without a resolution yet on the table. A related wayfinding sign tied to SFD was also discussed, alongside ongoing conversations about general signage, maintenance needs, and fundraising to pay for the upcoming work.

No votes or contested proposals came out of the session; the committee set the stage for its November meeting, where the granite project and parking questions are expected to come back with more detail.
