Parking Time Limits in Old Corte Madera Square Headed for a Rewrite
The Town Council has scheduled a public hearing for October 6 to consider changing parking time restrictions in Old Corte Madera Square, a shopping and dining hub where parking turnover has long been a point of local interest.
The same hearing will take up a broader housekeeping item: an ordinance amending Title 10 (Vehicles and Traffic) of the municipal code to bring the Town's rules into line with current State Law.
Staff expect both actions to be exempt from environmental review under CEQA, since neither authorizes construction or physical development — meaning any debate on Oct. 6 will likely focus on the practical effect of new time limits rather than environmental impact.
The notice does not yet specify what the new time restrictions would be; that detail should surface when the staff report is published ahead of the hearing.
