Peri Park Playground's Flea Closure Now Tangled With a New Oak Tree Safety Concern
The Peri Park playground has been closed since July 24 for a flea infestation, and this week the Town confirmed the original two-week timeline is off. Public Works has been treating the site since it was first notified, but that job has now collided with a second, unrelated problem.
Officials say they've identified a new safety concern involving the park's two large oak trees, and that issue has to be resolved before the playground can reopen. No new date has been set, and the Town hasn't yet said what's wrong with the trees or what fixing it will involve.
