Fire crews clear brush along Center Boulevard this week

The Ross Valley Fire Department began clearing vegetation along Center Boulevard on October 26, working the corridor from Lansdale Avenue in San Anselmo to Pastori Avenue in Fairfax. Crews are expected to reach the Fairfax portion of the route this week.

The work is aimed at making Center Boulevard a safer corridor both for residents evacuating during an emergency and for firefighters responding to calls, continuing a broader push to clear key evacuation routes in the Ross Valley.

No road closures or further details on duration were provided in the town's notice; residents along the corridor should expect crew activity in the area this week.
