At 501 Via Casitas, a bid for an oversized accessory structure, 126 yards of grading and a taller fence
The Planning Commission opens tonight with a three-part request at 501 Via Casitas (APN 022-080-06), where applicant Chad Reynoso, acting on behalf of owner Sequioa Living, is asking for Design Review to allow an accessory structure larger than 400 square feet, a Slope Use Permit for 126 cubic yards of cut and fill to carve out a level pad for site improvements, and a Fence Height Exception.
The fence is the piece that needs the city's blessing most plainly: the applicant wants an 8-foot chain link fence where Larkspur's limit is 6 feet. Each of the three requests is a separate discretionary approval, and the agenda lists no staff recommendation, so the commission's direction will be set in the room.
The matter is noticed as a public hearing, meaning neighbors can speak before any vote. A second hearing follows on the same street.
The meeting is being recorded; video is posted to the city's YouTube channel.
